The couple stopped by a Care Net center in early April to pick up their incentives for completing the programs. Both expressed their appreciation for their mentors, the lessons they learned and the center staff.
As the dad took their daughter out to the car, the mom lingered to speak further with the staff. She began to cry and said she most appreciated the prayers Cindy offered on her behalf each time they met. Paul’s own prayer group regularly prayed for this young couple as well.
“The prayers were the best part,” she said. “I know it was the prayers that saved our marriage and helped my husband graduate from rehab.”
The couple are doing well. They even visited a nearby church that same night because someone had stopped by their house to invite them.

This couple’s story perfectly illustrates two things Care Net understands about its ministry: prayer is our foundation; and we are not the church. Finding a church home is vital to our clients’ long-term stability and growth. Learn how your church can help at carenetnky.org/ministry-ideas. We’d be honored to partner with you.
