Planned Giving in Northern Kentucky: Create a Lasting Pro-Life Legacy

What if your commitment to protecting life could continue helping women, babies and families for generations?

Through planned giving to Care Net Pregnancy Services of Northern Kentucky, you can establish a meaningful legacy that reflects your values. You can help ensure that women facing unplanned pregnancies continue to receive compassionate support, practical resources and life-affirming services throughout Northern Kentucky.

Planned giving is not limited to wealthy individuals or people with complicated estates. It is an accessible way for people from many financial backgrounds to make a future charitable gift—often one larger than they could make from their current income.

Whether you include Care Net in your will, donate appreciated securities or make a qualified charitable distribution, your generosity can plant hope for the future.

What Is Planned Giving?

Planned giving is the process of arranging a charitable contribution as part of your long-term financial or estate plans. Depending on the type of gift, it may be made during your lifetime or distributed from your estate.

Unlike a traditional one-time donation, a planned gift is considered alongside your broader financial goals, family responsibilities and personal legacy. Common planned-giving options include:

  • Gifts made through a will or trust
  • Beneficiary designations
  • Stocks and other appreciated securities
  • Donor-advised fund grants
  • Qualified charitable distributions from an IRA
  • Memorial and honorary legacy gifts

Your attorney, financial professional or tax advisor can help you determine which option is appropriate for your circumstances.

Include Care Net in Your Will or Estate Plan

A charitable gift in your will is one of the simplest ways to support Care Net’s future work. You may choose to leave a specific dollar amount, a particular asset or a percentage of your estate.

You can also arrange for Care Net to receive the remainder of your estate after other gifts and family obligations have been fulfilled. Another possibility is naming the ministry as a beneficiary of an eligible retirement account, life insurance policy or financial account.

Estate gifts can usually be adjusted if your needs or circumstances change. This flexibility allows you to care for the people you love while including the causes that have mattered deeply during your lifetime.

Care Net also provides access to a resource through which supporters can create a free will. Even if you are beginning with a relatively simple estate, documenting your wishes can offer clarity and peace of mind.

Join Care Net’s Legends for Life

Care Net recognizes planned-giving supporters through Legends for Life.

Legends for Life are individuals who defend the sanctity of human life during their lifetimes and make plans to continue that defense for future generations. Membership has no dues, obligations or ongoing solicitations.

If you have included Care Net in your estate plan—or intend to do so—you can complete the My Intended Gift form. Sharing your intention allows Care Net to thank you, welcome you into Legends for Life and better prepare for the ministry’s future.

Informing Care Net of your plans does not replace the legal documents needed to complete your gift. It simply communicates your intention to leave a legacy for life.

Donate Stocks and Securities

Giving appreciated stocks or other securities may be a practical way to support a pro-life ministry in Northern Kentucky.

Instead of selling an appreciated asset and donating the proceeds, an eligible donor may be able to transfer the asset directly to Care Net. The financial and tax results depend on the donor’s circumstances, which is why professional guidance is important.

The information an advisor may need includes:

Pregnancy Center of Northern KY, DBA Care Net Pregnancy Services of Northern Kentucky
Fidelity Account: Z49-467693
DTC: 0226
EIN: 61-1351706

Before initiating a transfer, contact Care Net and consult your financial or tax advisor.

Recommend a Donor-Advised Fund Grant

A donor-advised fund, commonly called a DAF, is a charitable account that allows donors to recommend grants to eligible nonprofit organizations.

If you already have a donor-advised fund, you may be able to recommend a grant to Care Net Pregnancy Services of Northern Kentucky. Some supporters also name charities to receive remaining DAF assets as part of their legacy plans.

Because sponsoring organizations establish their own procedures, contact your DAF administrator for instructions.

Make a Qualified Charitable Distribution

Eligible IRA owners may be able to make a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD, directly from an IRA to a qualifying nonprofit.

For 2026, the allowed QCD amount is up to $111,000 per individual. Eligibility requirements and tax treatment can vary, so donors should speak with a qualified advisor and IRA custodian before making a distribution.

A QCD can be a valuable option for an eligible supporter who wants to use retirement assets to advance Care Net’s life-affirming mission.

Honor Someone Through a Named Legacy

Planned giving can also preserve the memory of someone special or recognize a person whose life has inspired others.

Care Net offers opportunities to name facilities, classrooms and other areas in memory of a giver or in honor of another person. For example, an office at the Cold Spring location is dedicated to the memory of Fr. Robert Rosing.

A named legacy represents more than a plaque on a wall. It creates a lasting connection among the donor, the person being honored and the women and families served by Care Net.

Supporters interested in this opportunity can review the available naming rights or contact Care Net for more information.

Why Support Care Net Through Planned Giving?

A planned gift can help Care Net continue serving communities across Northern Kentucky from centers in Florence, Cold Spring and Williamstown.

Most importantly, it can help sustain a ministry dedicated to serving women and families with compassion. Your future gift becomes part of a larger promise: that individuals facing pregnancy decisions will not have to walk through those decisions alone.
