Why babies and women need Champions for Life

Timing is critical. A woman finds out she’s pregnant less than five minutes after taking a pregnancy test. She needs to talk to someone right now. But who can she trust? Care Net is determined to be the first place she turns to at this critical time. Convincing a woman to return to the center for an ultrasound is difficult if she’s already vulnerable to abortion. Because we know most women who see their baby via ultrasound will choose life, we offer same day ultrasound confirmation.

It is at this critical moment that Champions for Life makes the difference.

What is a Champion for Life?

A Champion for Life fights for the right to life, defends the sanctity of life and empowers women and couples to choose life. Members of the Champions for Life Society are committed to the long-term vision of Care Net through sustained financial support, especially as it relates to the medical services, technology and qualified staffing of our medical centers.

Your Champions for Life Journey

The five-step journey through the Champions for Life Society not only honors your generosity but also multiples the lives we save together. We invite you to continue or elevate your support. Every gift brings us closer to a world where each and every life is cherished. Open each step of the journey to learn more.

Crusader for Life

Achieved with annual gifts of at least $1,000 a year for at least three consecutive years. As a foundational member, you embody steadfast advocacy, providing essential resources for our ultrasound program, the “window on the womb” that encourages women to choose life. At the Crusader milestone, you will receive a beautifully framed and inscribed ultrasound image, symbolizing your direct impact on the lives of babies waiting to be born. You also will receive quarterly updates sharing stories of lives saved or prayer cards related to our ultrasound program to keep you connected to the miracles you help to create.

Soldier for Life

Achieved upon $10,000 in lifetime Champions for Life contributions. A Soldier for Life strengthens our frontline efforts, equipping us to serve more women and children in need with compassion and care.
As a Soldier, you will receive the Crusader updates and prayer cards plus an invitation to our annual Champions for Life breakfast and an elegant acrylic heart engraved with the Champions for Life emblem, a lasting memento of your valiant support. You’ll also receive special recognition in our communications with other donors, amplifying your influence and urging them to greater generosity.

Defender for Life

Attained with $25,000 in cumulative Champions for Life giving. Defenders are vigilant protectors, fortifying our work against challenges and ensuring every heartbeat is heard and valued. On reaching the Defender milestone, you will receive Crusader and Soldier updates, invitations and recognition as well as a beautiful crystal heart paperweight engraved with the Champions for Life emblem, a symbol of your protective dedication to life.

Guardian for Life

Reached with $50,000 in cumulative Champions for Life donations. As a Guardian, you safeguard the future, enabling expanded ultrasound services and counseling that transform lives daily. On reaching the Guardian milestone, you will receive updates, invitations and recognition achieved with previous milestones as well as an exclusive invitation to our Christmas Celebration with our board of directors—an intimate event for recognition, networking, and personal insights from our leadership.

Commander for Life

Honored at $100,000 or more in lifetime Champions for Life support. Commanders lead the charge, inspiring others through visionary generosity that sustains our mission for generations to come. At the Commander milestone, you will receive invitations, updates and recognition from previous milestones as well as prominent appreciation at our annual banquet, including a heartfelt tribute and special presentation from our executive team and early access to a private meet-and-greet with the featured speaker.

Sustain Same Day Ultrasound Services

Our goal is to provide same day ultrasound services at all three Care Net locations every day they are open. This service is critical; in 2025, 98% of women chose life through adoption or parenting after receiving ultrasound confirmation of pregnancy at Care Net.

Increase Medical & Support Staff

Because Care Net is a medical facility, we are required to have registered nurses or nurse practitioners conduct clients’ medical histories. Most RNs and NPs aren’t trained or certified to perform ultrasounds. Certification is a 6- to 12-month process. We must be able to train and certify our staff.

Retain Critical Medical Staff

To retain qualified medical staff, we must be able to offer competitive wages. The current average starting rate for registered nurses is $39 per hour, with full benefits, shift differential and wage increase after one year. Our starting rate is $22 per hour with no benefits except paid time off or shift differential and a minimal increase after one year.

Become a Champion

Champions for Life invest in providing up-to-date equipment and retaining qualified staff. Champions therefore are asked to commit to donating at least $1,000 per year for at least three years.
