I am grateful to those who join with Care Net to provide life affirming services in our community. The need has never been greater. Through June, we’ve already seen a 10% increase in visits by abortion-minded women and a 47% increase by abortion-vulnerable women. Ultrasounds are up 16% and, most important, 97% of the women who received an ultrasound chose life. Enrollment in parenting and life-skills programs is up 75%, proving that moms and dads are hungry for tools to build healthy, thriving homes. Clients provided material support rose 85%.
These are not just statistics; they represent moms and dads finding hope, families strengthened and lives saved and changed through compassionate care and truth shared in love.
This growing demand has required more than expanded programs and services; we’ve needed more resources and staff. To ensure clients receive the care, support and attention they deserve, we have steadily increased staffing in the past five years. Adding nurses, advocates and other staff has allowed us to maintain the high standard of care that defines our ministry.
As a result, our payroll, marketing and operational costs have grown substantially. While increased invest-ments allow us to impact more lives than ever, they also place greater demands on our budget. Tremendous opportunities to save and change lives lie before us. To sustain our current ministry efforts and respond to increasing demand, we must grow both our financial resources and our community of committed supporters.
